• Skyline was the $5100 Record Selling Berkshire Hog College Boar at the 1995 National Barrow show. 
•  He was the second leanest scanning boar at 0.51 over all breeds in his test group at the Iowa Station. 
•  His sire, SGI 614 Horizon, was the leanest scanning boar with the largest loin eye at the 1995 Summer Conference.  Horizon has been doing a phenomenal job of siring big framed, lean, heavy muscled Berkshires.  Skyline is from his first litter.  From the reports of SGI customers, Skyline’s may just be the tip of the iceberg in terms of what is ahead for Horizon’s offspring.  Skyline’s maternal grandsire has been linebred at Hess Farms in Batesville, Arkansas, to excel in scale, leanness and Berkshire Breed characteristics. 
•  Skyline is a super lean topped boar with excellent shape and dimension of muscle over his loin and out through his rump.  A long rumped boar with a deep ham, he has a tremendous total ham volume. 
•  Skyline is a big framed, long bodied boar that also excels in heaviness of structure.  He has excellent Berkshire breed character with erect ears, a long face and is free of excess white markings. 
•  Skyline is from a gilt litter of 9 farrowed – 9 weaned and has excellent nipple quality.  Al Christian is keeping three outstanding littermate gilts at ISU and another littermate gilt cutout 32.2 length, 0.85 BF and 7.10 LEA at 265 lb. 
•  One of the Japanese companies participating in the Black Gold Export Program indicated that their number one concern is finding leaner Berkshires with larger loin eyes.
