Swine Genetics International is dedicated to meeting the genetic needs of our customers all over the world. We specialize in liquid and frozen semen sales, and carry a wide variety of Artificial Insemination (A.I.) products and equipment. SGI staff actively provide leadership, oversight and recommendations on swine related projects all over the world. SGI has provided boar stud specific consultation on semen collection/processing, artificial insemination and laboratory set-up for over 30 years. SGI's current staff is actively supporting customers in the following additional areas: review of genetics programs, production and data consultations, meat quality evaluation, hedging and trading discussions, farm visits and barn walk through's, pig placement, animal handling training, packer relationships, etc. SGI's livestock-focused staff selects our breeding animals not only for their elite phenotype, but also for their ability to perform at a high-level in a variety of production environments. Our dual focus on selection criteria that emphasize animals robust in their skeletal build, and high-indexing in economically important performance traits make our boar inventory unique to the industry. Liquid semen is available on over 150 sires today. Frozen semen is available on boars housed at SGI from 1981 to present, including all boars currently on inventory in our stud.
