Frozen Semen Store

We are excited to be teaming up with the SC Online team to offer frozen semen inventory on well over 50 past and current boars that have been archived in our frozen semen library. This storefront will give our customers unique access to current pricing and immediate purchasing opportunities. The SC Online site will serve as our primary sale platform for showpig frozen semen.

Breeds available on this sale include: Crossbred, Duroc, Hampshire, Yorkshire & Berkshire. Cost per straw ranges from $100/straw up to $1,750/straw.

*Straw availability and pricing will be subject to routine change based on current inventory and market demand of individual boars.

HOW TO USE FROZEN SEMEN
If you are unfamiliar with using frozen semen, we’ve got educational videos to help shorten your learning curve. Additionally, SGI employees can be reached Monday through Friday between 8am and 4:30pm to consult with questions on shipping, storing and thawing frozen semen.

SHIPPING
Customers have three options to consider after purchasing frozen semen. SGI can store frozen straws on site for a monthly fee, customers can pick up frozen semen from the SGI Boar Stud or we can ship frozen semen directly to you in a dry shipper. SGI also handles a variety of frozen semen tanks, water baths and other supplies that are essential for successful utilization of frozen semen. If you choose to have SGI ship you semen in one of our dry shippers, you have 14 days from receiving to return the tank to SGI or we reserve the right to issue a $200 late return fee.
