Hefty, as his name implies, is an extra stout made Chester boar that Fred DeRouchy feels is the heaviest bone boar with the most breeding potential of any boar he has ever raised.
-
He has a stout, masculine head, bold shoulder with a large forearm and blade and stands on tremendous bone with excellent foot size.
-
Hefty is also a wide sprung, wide based, muscular boar with a thick rump and high tail setting.
-
He is a level designed, free moving boar that sets all four feet down squarely with excellent cushion.
-
Hefty is from a gilt litter of 11 farrowed, 11 weaned and is backed by a pedigree with several generations of heavy boned rugged Chesters.
-
Hefty’s sire, Richland Diesel, sired the Southwest Chester Conference Reserve Champion and Top Selling Boar, Grand Champion Carcass overall at Houston Livestock Exposition, Champion Chester Barrow at San Antonio and the Champion and Reserve Champion Chester Barrows at the Oklahoma City Barrow Show in his first pig crop.

If you need to add bone and ruggedness in a sound muscular package, do not overlook Hefty.
