- As indicated in the write-up for Joe Eagle, Golden Eagle proved to be a tremendous sire with a number of Champions in his first crop. He is proving to be even in greater demand as his offspring just keep making it to the winner’s circle. Super Eagle’s littermate was the $13,500 Champion Hampshire boar at the 1999 World Pork Expo while littermate gilts stood second and third in class and sold for $1300 and $1200. The Champion and Reserve Champion Hampshire Female Show Pigs at the 1999 Classic were by Golden Eagle. The Champion went on to be the Grand Female and sold for $10,000 while her littermate brought $4,400.
- Golden Eagle ranks 2nd on EPDs for both backfat (-0.10) and lb lean (2.25) in the Winter 2000 Across Herd Sire Summary and a son is 2nd ranking on TSI.
- We selected Super Eagle because we thought he was one of the bigger framed, taller fronted, longer bodied and later maturing Golden Eagles to surface.
- In addition, he definitely has the Golden Eagle extreme muscle shape.
- He is very expressive down his ultra clean top and has a well-defined dimple above his tail. His ham is really ripped with muscle and he pops a big stifle as he walks.
- A long fronted and long boned boar; he is tall at the point of the shoulder and clean and trim fronted. Even with his extra extension; Super Eagle comes at you wide up front, has very good natural width of body and tracks away wide and true.
- If you need to make them bigger, leaner and cleaner and still keep extreme muscle shape; fly with Super Eagle.
