As his name implies; Far Out is really extreme, particularly in terms of total freedom of fat. Ultra clean fronted, being remarkably trim about the throat and jowl; he is also very tight middled and extremely bare over the shoulder and down his top.
-
A very meat headed, erect eared and stylish boar he can put “pretty” front ends in your show pigs. Along with his ultra lean appearance Far Out displays excellent shape down his top and a very shapely ham that again is totally free of fat.

Far Out is a tall fronted, long boned, and extended boar that has excellent length of body. For a boar of his extreme type, Far Out comes at you with very good width of chest floor.
-
Bred to be extra trim and lean; Far Out’s sire, Top Fuel, had only 0.29 BF with a 7.5 LEA. Top Fuel was sired by The General; Jerry McLemore’s double bred Mohican. The reports on Far Out’s first offspring have been very good. Ledger Swine Farm sold a number of outstanding prospects at a very good price and the reports from several Texas Show Pig Producers indicated that Far Out is certainly stamping his offspring with his extremely clean, expressively muscled phenotype. One would expect this due to his linebred pedigree resulting from a son-mother mating.

Certainly, Far Out is not for everyone and should not be used on all sows. However, if you need to clean up the front end, take off fat and make your show pigs more spiffy and stylish; he is the one!
