• Impulse was our choice of the outstanding set of boars exhibited by Jerry Brink at the 1984 National Barrow Show. 
• He is a highly inbred boar with both PBR (12^th ranking Hampshire sire in 1982) and Barn (5^th ranking Hampshire sire in 1983) appearing five times in his pedigree. 
• His paternal Granddam is a full sister to the top indexing boar in the 1982 National Hampshire Test that had a 2.68 ADG, 0.63 BF and 6.60 Lea at 275 pounds. 
• His maternal Grandsire, Bam Bam was the  Premier Sire at the 1984 Hampshire Southwestern Conference and the sire of the dams of all the Brink boars at the 1984 National Barrow Show including the $13,000 Hog College Boar. 
• Impulse is an extremely lean boar with excellent muscle definition over his top. 
• He is a level-topped, long-sided, long-rumped boar with a high tail setting.  He is a sound, free-moving boar that stands on excellent bone. 
•  We feel Impulse offers an opportunity to produce a lean, meaty end product without sacrificing ruggedness, body volume or functional design.
