Ulf's Legacy is a direct son of the original SGI 270 Ulf 166 imported from Sweden in 1989. Ulf 166 became a legend World Wide rapidly rising to the top of the U.S. STAGES program as well as immensely comtributing to improved reproduction in Yorkshire World Wide
In 1997 a mating with frozen semen of Ulf 166 with a top ranking sow at Good farms in Kansas produced SGI 2289 Ultimate and SGI 2311 Ulf 55-11, Ulf 55-11 became No. 1 for NBA, LWT, MLI and SPI in the STAGES Across herd Sire Ranking Program while Ultimate reached the top ten
In late 2004 SGI arranged a contract frozen semen mating at Whiteshire of Ulf 55-11 with the NO 1 sow for MLI in STAGES. A son of this mating, SGI 2395 Ultracross rose to the No. 1 position in STAGES for MLI and SPI
Ulf's Legacy is the result of mating Ulf 166 with the No. 1 sow in the Tempel herd for NBA. This frozen semen mating resulted in 19 born live in her 9th parity. She has averaged 16.0 NBA, 9.7 weaned, 147 lb litter wt and 152 day farrowing interval for 10 parities. Her EPD 0.85 NBA, 128.1 SPI and 131.2 MLI all rank in top 1% of the breed
