BEN is a highly inbred boar being from a littermate mating. His sire, Bear, has consistently sired heavier-structured, bigger-volumed and more durable Yorkshires that have excellent longevity and adapt to confinement easily. His dam is a stout-made, extremely well-designed sow that is still very functional at 5 years of age. She has averaged 13 pigs farrowed and 9.2 weaned. BEN is a wide-made, heavy skeleton, totally big, massive and sound boar that consistently passes these bred-in traits to his offspring. He sired the Reserve Champion Boar at the 1981 National Barrow Show and Champion Boar at the 1981 Indiana Invitational. His daughters are also proving to be excellent producers for Craig Brothers.
