• FJORD is the biggest framed, longest, and leanest appearing boar of the five imports. 
• He also has an extremely square top with remarkable definition of muscle over the rib and loin area.  He is extreme in his length of body and is a very long rumped boar who has superior ham development in all three dimensions. 
• FJORD is negative for the stress gene and has an excellent underline. 
• FJORD sire's offspring have averaged 2.02 lb daily gain 2.44 feed conversion and almost 3% meat above the mean while his dam's offspring have averaged 1.95% meat above the mean.  His dam is a very impressive, correctly designed young sow with excellent udder quality.  She has averaged 13.50 farrowed and 12.0 weaned in her first two parities. 
• FJORD's maternal granddam averaged 9.4 and 8.0 weaned in 5 parities. If you want to make your hogs bigger framed, longer bodied and leaner with superior sow producitivity as a bonus, FJORD can do the job. 
• FJORD has proven his ability to sire big framed, extra lean offspring.  He was the trait leader for backfat EPDS in the December 1993 Duroc Across Herd Sire Summary.  In the December 1994 Across Herd Sire Summary FJORD sons ranked 1st, 2nd and 12th on Terminal Sire Index and 1st, 7th, 11th, 15th and 22nd on EPDs for backfat.
