We took the Pacific Ocean Breeding group to the ISU Teaching Farm on their annual World Pork Expo Tour. When Al drove out Marco 9-2, they marveled at his phenomenal structure and durability. They immediately wanted SGI to bring him into the stud, so they could utilize him in their 15,000 sow operation
Massive in his makeup; he sports a big shoulder blade, stout bone and big feet with even toes
Excellent in his overall design; he is tall fronted, level topped with a high tail setting
Moderate framed, yet very long bodied; Marco's body design is ideal for confinement and superior sow productivity
Marco is bred to be stout and durable. His sire, SGI 3331 Marco, is one of the stoutest boars ever to come to SGI along with a powerfully documented pedigree for superior maternal production
The dam side goes back to SGI 3302 Ironman, the Champion and top selling Landrace at the 2001 Fall Classic. Ironman also was one tough dud with massive bone, shoulder and foot size
If you need to add mass and structure yet maintain length and correct phenotypic design for added durability and sow longevity, Marco 9-1 is the overwhelming choice
