• HAMALOT was the top indexing boar of his contemporary group at Waldo Farms.  We felt he was also the top individual in terms of bone, soundness, correctness of design, muscle, and leanness, combined with outstanding performance characteristics on both himself and his dam.  He is from an outstanding litter of 10 farrowed. 10 weaned, 143 lb 21-day litter weight, and an SPI of 113.9.  This litter also contained the second top indexing boar and several excellent gilts. 
• HAMALOT is a long bodied, level designed boar that has a big, bold shoulder and a very thick, meaty ham.  He is an extremely lean boar that is very trim in his jowl and underline.  He also has good bone and is particularly good in his design and soundness to his shoulder and front leg structure.  He has an excellent underline of 7 high-quality, well-spaced teats on each side and is a very aggressive boar that mounts the dummy and collects with ease. His pedigree combines Progeny and Awesome, two the better generating boars in the Duroc breed. 
• Waldo Farms, is famous worldwide for producing large numbers of Durocs that are consistently lean, very muscular, and remain sound and functional under strict confinement conditions.
