• WRANGLER was the 1st place late January and top selling boar at the 1991 Iowa State Fair. 
• He was sired by SGI 1102 Paulding "Levi", whose record in Iowa as a barrow sire the past 2 years has been phenomenal.  The $12,000 Grand Champion 4-H barrow at the 1990 Iowa State Fair was sired by Levi and the Reserve Grand Champion was out of a daughter of Levi. 
• Levi’s daughters were also the dams of the $8500 Grand Champion 4-h Market Hog and the Reserve Grand FFA Market Hog at the 1991 Iowa State Fair. 
• Levi sired 10 Grand Champions at Iowa County Fairs during the summer of 1991 and numerous Reserve Champions, top placing pens of three and individual class winners.  Levi’s offspring have not only excelled on foot but have also hung excellent carcasses on the rail.  When it became apparent semen would probably no longer be available on Levi, we began searching for an outstanding son.  Our search stopped at the Iowa State Fair when the very aggressive, powerful and popular WRANGLER hit the tanbark. 
• Like his sire, WRANGLER is a heavy structured, big bone, massive boar with a big blade and forearm.  He is an extremely long bodied, level designed boar that is extra long and level in his rump with a high tail setting.  He is remarkably lean down his top, has a wide level rump and a very thick, bulging yet deep ham.  Wrangle is from an excellent litter.  Two littermate boars each required only 139 days each to 230 lb with 0.64 and 0.77 backfats and 6.28 and 6.50 loin eyes. 
• WRANGLER’s dam is one of the best young sows at Rouse and Hodson’s and was sired by another outstanding barrow and female sire, Total 15-3.  She has averaged 8 weaned with an outstanding 147 lb 21-day litter weight in her first three litters.  WRANGLER’s maternal granddam has the top 21-day litter weight ever at R&H of 197 lb. 
• WRANGLER has an excellent underline which has been bred into both sides of his pedigree for several generations. 
• We are confident WRANGLER will sire outstanding show barrows along with top performing, sound heavy structured, breeding animals with a very high lean content.
