•  JUBILI was selected from a sire deck nursery because of the uniform excellence of the 10 pigs farrowed and 10 weaned in his litter plus the superiority of his ancestors. 
• His sire, Jubie, has a 137 index and is by the 5989 boar discussed under Steroid.  Jubie’s first progeny tested in the central test station had significant positive deviations for daily gain, feed conversion an % meat.  The offspring tested in Central Test Station out of JUBILI’s dam have averaged a remarkable 2.32 lb daily gain, 2.40 feed conversion and 2.12% meat above the mean. 
• We certainly were not disappointed in the way JUBILI developed while in quarantine for 90 days in Denmark and Miami.  He is the loosest structured, biggest footed of the five imports.  He also has the extra muscling and leanness typical of Danish Durocs.  For the past several years, Denmark has tested approximately 10,000 boars in central test stations each year.  Only the top 400 or 4% were selected to go the AI centers.  The remainder were slaughtered to obtain carcass information.  This carcass data was used in conjunction with daily gain and the feed conversion to obtain progeny test results not only on AI and home used sires but also on most of the sows in the herd.  This testing program has put particular emphasis on meat % in the carcass. 
• The progeny test of JUBILI’s ancestors have consistently excelled in meat %.  Thus, we are confident he will improve the cutout of most herds in the U.S.
