SGI BIG AL

• BIG AL was one of the several popular C&G entries at the 1984 Southwest Duroc Congress.  His pedigree contains many of the outstanding Duroc sires at recent years including Adam, Assurance, Blockbuster.  Changing Times, Cruise, Red Shirt, Rib and Santana. 
• His sire consistently generated outstanding offspring in his first pig crop.  His dam is bred to be productive with her dam by Changing Times and her paternal granddam by Rib. 
• BIG AL is from a gilt litter of 11 farrowed, 10 raised.  He had excellent on-the-farm performance figures while raised in a large group in an open Cargill unit during an extrememly cold winter. 
• BIG AL has an ideal front end structure being a stout-headed, bold fronted, deep ribbed and heavy-boned boar with his chine bone set down between his blades.  He has excellent length of neck, and ideal set to his shoulders and is a big-footed, long-striding boar with extra flex and cushion to his front legs.  He has matured into a totally big and deep-bodied boar yet is loose is his body makeup.
