• Extra is truly a big-framed, extended boar in both height and length of skeleton. 
• He is a stylish well-balanced, super sound boar that is very level topped and extra long rumped. 
• A long, clean fronted boar; he is a heads-up, attractive individual that gives you a very pleasing side profile.  From the rear view you quickly notice his big expressive top, thick square rump and shapely ham. 
• Equity, the sire of Extra, is owned jointly by Salmon Creek Farms and Kirk Swanson.  Kirk indicated that Equity has done an outstanding job siring both show pigs and keeper females.  He noted they are some of the fastest growing pigs he has raised recently. 
• The sire of Equity, Fantastic, carries Sprint, Jens and Premier 290-5 breeding.  Fantastic’s mother is a littermate to the mother of Premier 515.  She produced a Champion Barrow at the Indiana State Fair.  The dam of Extra has raised nine litters averaging 10.8 farrowed and 9.5 weaned.  She is sired by SGI Celtic 16-3 (again Premier 290-5 breeding) and also has Viking and Ulf ancestry. 
• We feel Extra is a multi-purpose boar.  He is ideally suited to mate to Top Shot or other “muscular” Hampshire sired females to produce show pigs. 
• With his outstanding growth, Derby or performance barrows are right up his alley.  He can also surely produce outstanding show pig mommas or productive F1 females where one needs to insert frame and muscle into their program.
