Barnum is a highly linebred King David from the Hilman Schroeder herd. The King David name has been synonymous for years with extra structure and highly productive females.
Barnum is a stout made Yorkshire boar with a heavy-duty skeleton that excels in natural width of body. Big and bold fronted he has excellent spring of rib and carries this extra dimension out through a big, wide rump.
Wide based, he walks wide front and rear with excellent feet and leg structure and big even toes.
A deep ribbed, deep flanked boar, he will sire females with the extra toughness and capacity it takes to wean large litters and come out of the farrowing house in good condition.
Extremely level and correct in his design with moderate frame size; Barnum is of ideal type to meet the rigors of sow confinement in slatted floor crates.
Barnum has an excellent underlnie with very high quality evenly spaced nipples. His dam and her three littermates average 9.5 weaned in their first litter and his pedigree is rich in sows that have demonstrated excellent longevity.
