YFG3 BRUISER 50-5

• Bruiser 50-5 was leased from Good Farms specifically to offer SGI Customrs an opportunity to use an extremely stout made, heavy structured boar that is still in a big, elongated package with superior maternal EPDs. 
• On a visit to the Good Farms in June, a group of Japanese breeders commented, “He has the bone, foot size, natural width and ruggedness of the traditional American Yorkshires that we need to contribute to longevity”. 
• The Bruiser and Better Train lines have both excelled in growth rate, heaviness of structure and durability along with superior maternal ability.  Certainly superior sow productivity runs deep in Bruiser 50-5’s pedigree.  His dam has a lifetime average of 10.3 weaned with 167 lb. 21-day litter weight and a 116 SPI.  A littermate sow to Bruiser 50-5 has stages EPDs of 0.81 NBA, 6.05 LW, -4.05 Days, -0.06 BF, 113 SPI, 127.2 MLI and 132.7 TSI. 
• The sire of Bruiser 50-5, Bruiser 15-8, has a SPI 106.9 and his littermate sister retained at Good Farms averaged 13.0 born live, 9.9 weaned and 152 lb 21-day litter weight for eight parities.  Of course the fact that the immortal Ulf 166 and his son, Ulf 14-3, (SPI 120.9) appear in Bruiser 50-5’s pedigree certainly strengthens his maternal lineage. Daughters of Bruiser 50-5 have averaged 12.7 farrowed and 161 lb. 21-day litter weight to date. 
• The original SGI Bruiser 7-2, (Bruiser 50-5’s grandsire) was extremely popular with commercial producers because of the durability and productivity of his daughters along with the feedlot performance of their offspring.
