  • UPS addresses the current swine industry trends for more muscle and less fat.  Lean muscle combined with fast growth makes UPS well suited to commercial production terminal needs.
  •  UPS reached 230 lb in a rapid 148 days with just 0.47 BF and an 8.59 loin eye area which magnifies the value of his premium carcass data.
  •  UPS’s pedigree is rich in Hampshire breeding that is proven, consistent and prominent.
  • Perhaps UPS’s greatest contribution will be in the show pig circles.  Purchased at the 1997 NBS, he impressed on-lookers with his phenomenal muscle shape and the image of extreme leanness.
  • He is packaged in a big frame with that extra-superb “look” of an extreme modern day terminal barrow making machine.  His extra extension, length of side and neck along with clean bone will keep show pigs leaner to heavier weights.
  • His muscle is emphasized by the grooved shape down his top and tremendous thickness through the rump, stifle and butt.  He presents in bare fashion a lean loin edge. Clean shoulder and trim jowl.  His soundness is evident in his correct design, athletic profile and agile movement.  He is truly unique in his growth, muscle, leanness, scale and overall desirable design and profile.
  • The sire of UPS, DPK3 Premier John 124-4 better known as “Schools Out”, was purchased privately from Kilmer Swine Farm in the spring of 1994.  His offspring very first crop of offspring, there were five head of barrows selected to be in the prestigious bonus sale at Oklahoma City out of a total of fifty head that were selected from twenty-five hundred shown.  DPK3 Premier John 124-4 was named premier Sire at the 1995 Summer Hampshire Type Conference in Springfield, IL.
  • The dam of UPS, WJHF4 Smoke Nan 7-6, is sired by WJH3 Mc Champ 46-1.  She was purchased from Wm. J. Heger Farms.  In four matings to data combining DPK3 Premier John 124-4 and WJHF4 Smoke Nan 7-6 the following prepotent individuals have been produced: Liter #1-Champion Hampshire Female 1996 Sweetwater SW Conference.  Litter #2-The herd boar called “Class Act”, who was the second top selling boar at the 1996 Summer Conference and also a littermate barrow was the heavy weight class division winner at Tulsa.  Litter #3-The herd boar called “Spring Break” selling for $4,600 at the 1997 Sweetwater Conference.  Litter #4-This litter produced “UPS”.
  • He was the most talked about Hampshire boar at the 1997 NBS selling for $8,000.  The swine industry is speeding down a path paved with demands for consistent hogs with high degree of muscle and leanness.
  • UPS is a boar who reaches for unlimited product within functional limits.  UPS is definitely a “way-out” kind of terminal sire!
