• Golden Eagle has certainly proved to be a tremendous sire.  At Iowa State Fair 4-H and FFA Shows he sired 6 Iowa County Fair Champions.  His first offspring to hit the ring in a breeding show was name Champion Gilt at the Iowa State Fair.  He consistently stamps his pigs with very expressive – grooved tops and big butts. 
•  Although Golden Eagle has been one of the best Hampshire semen producers to stand at SGI, the demand for his semen has far exceeded the available supply.  Thus, we have added two outstanding sons, Joe Eagle and Jet Eagle.  J
• Joe Eagle is very similar in phenotype to Golden Eagle.  He has a grooved top, a big dimple above his tail and a big butt.  He is also a big framed, long bodied, extremely clean and trim made boar. 
• From a litter of 11 weaned with 174 lb weight at 24 days, his dam has been a maternal giant at Joe Steffensmeier’s.  A littermate gilt to Joe Eagle sold for $1,900 in Bob Brown’s Cyclone Pig Sale. 
• We are confident Joe Eagle will follow in his illustrious father’s footsteps in terms of siring extremely lean and meaty pigs that have the extra pizzazz it takes to win.
