His sire, SGI Top Shot, and his maternal great grandsire, SGI 4454 Golden Eagle, certainly need no introduction to the Hampshire or Show Pig Fraternity. Both have consistently sired winners throughout the Midwest and Southwest. Top Shot was just recently named premier sire at the Fall Classic in Duncan. Golden Eagle is the sire of 4 of the top 10 ranking sires on TSI in the 2001 Winter Across Herd Sire Summary. Golden Eagle is currently ranked 3rd on backfat and 2nd lb lean as well as on TSI.

Up Shot is also very clean and neat about his front end and extremely trim and free of fat from end to end. Add to this his extra big and expressive ham; you have a really big, muscular package with the style and pizzazz it takes to win.

Unfortunately, the picture of Up Shot does not really do him justice. At Austin and when we got him back to SGI’s isolation facility he was always fired up and would not cooperate or pose for camera.
