One of the most popular and best generating Hampshire boars at SGI has been Soren, Mohawk’s sire. He has consistently sired extreme leanness and muscle as evidenced by his recent progeny test pen at the Ames Test Station. They had slaughter figures of 0.49 BF and 8.03 LEA. Soren sired the reserve Champion Hampshire Boar at the 1994 National Barrow Show and the reports on F1 Hamp x Durocs sired by him have been phenomenal.
