Without a doubt, Earnie is one of the most predictable boars to ever come to SGI in terms of carcass cutability.

Earnie’s sire, Walridge Albert (from the Walridge Mercedes line), was 119 days to 230, 0.32 BF and 8.90 LEA. He was a 1992 NBS Super Sire with his test group averaging 164 days, 31.1 length, 0.66 BF and 6.99 LEA. Albert has also sired a number of carcass winners with exceptional loin eyes. To date, all sons of Albert scanned have averaged 0.59 BF and 7.10 LEA. Earnhardts exhibited the National Barrow Show Reserve Champion Carcass Truckload in 1991 and 1992 as well as the Champion Carcass Truckload in 1993 and 1994. The 1992 load averaged 0.50 with 8.60 LEA, the 1993 load averaged 0.70 BF with 7.60 LEA while the 1994 load averaged 0.65 BF and 6.95 LEA. The top two pigs in the 1993 load each had 0.40 BF and 10.10 and 9.15 LEA respectively. Earnhardts also exhibited the 1993 Hoosier Barrow Show Champion Carcass that cut 0.50 BF and an 8.70 LEA and the Tri State Barrow Show Champion that cut 0.50 BF and 8.90 LEA. All these pigs carry similar genetics to Earnie and have been selected for generations for superior carcass cutability.

Earnie is a tremendously heavy muscled boar whose loin really pops out at you with a big grooved top and a huge dimple above his tail. He also has excellent butt muscle.

Earnie combines his extreme muscling with extra length of body and more frame size that most boars with his leanness and muscle content.

He also has a very high quality underline and large testicles.
