Very strong maternal characteristics are on both sides of this boar’s pedigree that result from the lineage to the Peter and Callahan herds in Illinois. Navajo’s dam is designed for production and longevity in the breeding pen and resembles phenotypically the parent lines of “Regulator” and “DA Mac” breeding. She has averaged 10.25 farrowed and 9.25 weaned on 4 litters. Cadet 12-1, Navajo’s sire, is from a litter of 13 farrowed, 12 weaned with a 145 lb 21-day litter weight and 12-I’s dam has an SPI of 105.83 with a lifetime 139 lb 21-day average litter weight.
