Largo is a very correctly structured boar being particularly sound on his feet and legs. He has a very desirable hip, rump, hock and rear leg structure that has been a problem in some Landrace lines.

A wide chested, bold-shouldered boar; Largo has excellent spring of rib and natural body width from end to end. A clean made boar he has ideal muscle volume and shape for a maternal line boar.

An added feature of Largo is his small ear preferred by many commercial producers. Largo is also backed by very good growth. His sire, Larat 1-6, required 145 days to 230 lb with 0.36 BF while his maternal grandsire, Matador, had an outstanding 137 days to 230 (-1.20 EBV) and 0.45 BF (-0.04 EBV).

The first pigs at LC Landrace by Largo look outstanding.

We feel Largo can certainly provide outstanding sow productivity in a very correct, durable made package. He should work particularly well on Landrace or Yorkshire sows of Finnish ancestry.
