SBIO Quest 36-10 has that extra punch for heaviness of structure and superior durability.  He is very stout-fronted, with powerful shoulders and width of chest.  Standing on large bone and incredibly large feet; he comes in a very big framed, long bodied package.  Along with his stoutness and frame, Quest 36-10 features extra thickness of muscling over the loin edge and has a long, thick, extended rump.  He has a strong history of sow productivity.  Quest 36-10 came from a litter of 13 and his dam has averaged 11.8 born alive, 10.8 weaned and 141 pound 21-day litter weight over six parities.  The ancestry behind Quest 36-10 has proven its superiority at producing durable, high performance offspring time and time again.  His paternal grandsire, 6SGI Mandell 232, presently and consistently maintains his dominance in the National Across Herd Sire Summary.  With sons and grandsons also establishing high rankings in STAGES, like BCF8 SGI Mandell 232 262-8 who in the Summer 2001 Report presently is the number one ranked young sire in the breed for MLI; the prepotency of this genetic line is well established.  SBIO Quest 36-10’s sire also incorporates into his lineage 6 SGI Matava 239 and 5 SGI Markku 54 as superior genetic links in the paternal side of his pedigree.  Quest’s dam was sired by DDA5 Classic 25-2 from the Donn Damos herd in Illinois on an Aris 2143B 4-2 dam.  This Aris sired sow averaged 12.8 superior Landrace productivity, phenotypic balance and structure, muscling and leanness offered in SBIO Quest 36-10 is truly unique.  His replacement daughters should be well adapted to the rigors of any environment.
