• Wide Open was the Champion and top selling Chester Boar at the 2002 Fall Classic in Duncan, Oklahoma. 
•  As his name implies, Wide Open is truly busted apart from front to rear.  Wide chested, bold shouldered, pulled apart at the blades, well expanded through the rib cage and massive about his rump; his extra body dimension is combined with tremendous muscle thickness. 
• A big, bold and very expressive top (8.60 LEA scan at Duncan: is complemented by extra pop to the stifle and remarkable thickness and muscle definition of ham. 
• Wide Open is also a very well balanced, correctly designed boar that is level made with good angulations and flexibility to his feet and leg structure. 
• Wide Open is backed by a powerful pedigree.  His sire, Atlas, is sired by No Problem who also sired the champion boars at the 2002 World Pork Expo and National Barrow Show.  Atlas’ dam is a littermate to the powerful Nightmare herd boar at Rudasills. 
• The paternal great grandsire, Muscle Maker, was the 1999 SW Reserve Champion and has sired a number of winners including Champion Gilt at the 2000 Summer Conference, a littermate to No Problem.  On the bottom side of Wide Open’s pedigree; Full Charge, his maternal grandsire, was the Champion Chester Weanling pig at Duncan in 1999.  Full Charge has sired the Champion Boar at the 2002 SW Type Conference, Champion Chester Gilt at San Antonio in 2001.  Reserve Champion Barrow Overall at the 2001 Illinois State Fair, Reserve Champion Chester Barrow at the 2002 Junior Show in Indiana, as well as the Champion 4-H and Reserve Champion Gilt at Missouri in 2002. 
• Wide Open is also backed by very good sow productivity.  His sire has a 2.24 EPD for LWT and a 105.7 Maternal Index, while his dam has excellent 0.16 NBA, 4.88 LWT EPD’s and a 106.6 MLI. 
• Wide Open can certainly add extra body width and muscle in a very sound, functional package, along with good maternal productivity.
