Ribeye was the Champion Berkshire boar and his half brother the Reserve Champion boar at the 1984 Iowa State Fair.
Ribeye’s littermate was Reserve Junior Champion boar at the 1984 Berkshire Summer Type Conference.
Ribeye is a stout-headed, bold-fronted and heavy-skeletoned boar. He excels in spring of rib and natural thickness combined with excellent leanness and muscle volume.
Ribeye is a sound, very aggressive boar with a food underline. He is from a gilt litter of 8 farrowed and 8 weaned. His Hall of Fame grandam, P.A. Ida, is the top indexing sow in the Phenotypic Acres herd.
We are confident that Ribeye can contribute to making more rugged yet lean, muscular Berkshires and to the production of sound, productive crossbred females.
Ribeye sired the Champion boar at the 1985 National Barrow Show and was Premier Sire at the Iowa State Fair.
