BRITCHES is a most unique breeding piece. He is sired by Payroll himself and out of an outstanding litter of 10 farrowed and 10 weaned. A littermate gilt was Grand Champion at 9 Oklahoma shows and another littermate gilt was Reserve Grand at 7 of these same shows. A littermate barrow was Reserve Grand overall breeds at the Nebraska State Fair. Charlie Penniston selected a boar from this litter prior to the National Barrow Show. Payroll sired the Reserve Champion Gilt at the 1990 National Barrow Show, Reserve Boar at the 1990 Fall Classic; Champion Gilt and Reserve Champion Boar plus being named Premier Sire at the 1991 SE Conference; Champion and Reserve Champion Gilts plus Champion Boar and Premier Sire at the 1991 SW Conference; Champion Boar, Champion Gilt and Premier Sire at the 1991 World Pork Expo; Reserve Champoin Boar and Reserve Senior Gilt at the 1991 Indiana State Fair and was Premier Sire at the 1991 National Barrow Show. BRITCHES was simply the widest based, biggest ribbed, widest rumped, thickest hammed boar of any breed at the National Barrow Show. Add to this the fact that he is a very level topped, heavy structured boar with one of the most correct rump and rear leg structures we have ever seen in the Spotted Breed; you can see why we are excited about the breeding value of BRITCHES.
