Cowboy Poker has been one of the most exciting, new cross boars that we’ve been able to offer customers this Spring. Thick, broad built, dense, hairy and athletic best describe this guy.
He’s a littermate to the Champion York Barrow at San Antonio in February ’21 and comes from an extremely deep litter.
Cowboy Poker’s mother was one the most unique breeding gilts that we saw in Iowa two Summer’s ago, and we’ve kept an eye on her productivity ever since. Cowboy Poker’s mother is solid white, and we are encouraged about his potential to generate pigs that may qualify for the Cross, Hamp and Yorkshire rings in the Southwest.
Thank you Dan Harmsen for putting this stud together.
**Update - Cowboy Poker continues to be one of the most popular cross boars on Summer tours. He saw lots of elite sows during the Spring ’21 breeding season and the excitement around his use has continued into the Summer!
