DIAMOND’s sire, Diamond 21-3, is by Diamond 14-3 who is the fourth ranking sire in the January 1995 Yorkshire Across-herd sire summary for Maternal Line Index (138.3) with EPDs of 0.79 born live, 4.63 litter wt., -4.77 days and -0.11 BF. In turn, 14-3’s sire, Ulf 62-2, is the top ranking from over 7800 boars for Maternal Line Index (145.2) with EPDs of 1.35 born live, 6.93 litter wt., -1.72 days, -0.12 BF. Ulf 62-6 is, of course, by the immortal Ulf. On the bottom side DIAMOND 135-5’s dam has Ulf and LeRoy’s ancestry that have been synonymous with excellent sow productivity. She has averaged 11.0 born live (0.66 EPD), 10.7 weaned, 164 lb 21-day litter wt., (9.99 EPD) and 116.67 SPI. DIAMOND 135-5’s two granddams have 0.07 & 0.14 EPDs for born live, 7.89 & 3.92 EPDs for litter weights and 107.10 & 105,47 SPIs. DIAMOND 135-5’s sire was 136 days to 230, 0.60 BF and 5.54 LEA and is also a maternal boar that is very level in his design and sound in feet and leg structure. He is a trim, clean made boar that is heavy structured, yet clean and flat boned. DIAMOND has a tremendous underline with 17 very high quality, even placed nipples. He is an aggressive boar with excellent testicular development and produces a large volume of semen. If you are looking to produce long bodied, lean and extremely productive females; we would highly recommend DIAMOND 135-5.
