MPACT was the very popular Champion and top selling boar at the 1982 National Midwest Hampshire Type Conference. MPACT’s sire was the 3rd place boar at the 1981 Southwest Hamp Type Conference, his dam Champion gilt at the 1980 Kansas State Fair and his granddam (M Barbie) is the dam of the outstanding breeding boar, Ark, in the Andrews and Baughn herd. MPACT is an extremely heavy-boned, wide-sprung, stout made boar yet has good skeletal size and extra length of body. He is a correctly designed boar with good cushion to his front leg and a very good rump and rear leg structure. He received a 9 out of a possible 10 underline score at the Conference. He is a fast growing, very lean boar with a large volume of muscle weighing 425 pounds when exhibited at 8 months of age with only 1.0 inch of actual backfat and a 7.2 sq in loin eye. As the judge and many others commented at the show, MPACT ties together the total package the Hampshire breed has been striving to produce.
