• A select mating resulting from 18 year old SGI frozen semen of SGI 2210 JGR0 Pork Chop 115-7 with a litter of 14 born alive, 12 weaned.
• Pork Chop was certainly one of the very best sons of the imported Swedish super sire U Ulf 166.  Pork Chop sired the Champion boar at the 1992 Yorkshire Winter Conference and the Co-top selling boar at the 1991 Autumn Classic.  He was the 2nd ranking Yorkshire in the National Barrow Show 1991 Super Sire Progeny Test where his offspring excelled in gain (1.71), carcass backfat (0.88), length (31.8) and muscle quality (top ranking overall breeds with 9.11 score)
• His daughters excelled in their farrowing averages with 12.1 born alive and 141 lb 21-day litter weaning weights (EPD of 8.35 lb)
• Pork Chop had the second highest maternal line index in the December 1991 Yorkshire Crossherd Sire Summary behind his sire, Ulf's top index.
• The sire of the dam of Pork Chop was from the Ultra line from Chuck & Ben Olson's that consistently excelled in EPDs for number born alive and SPI in the Yorkshire Crossherd Sire Program
• Pork Chop's sire, U Ulf 166, excelled as a sire in decreasing backfat while maintaining rapid growth and excelled feed conversion.  He sired top indexing test pens with gains as high as 3.06 lb per day.  In each case the backfats and feed conversions far excelled the test average.  In the June 1992 Yorkshire Crossherd Sire Summary, U Ulf 166 ranked: 1st on MLI, 1st in TSI, 1ST on EPDs for born alive, 1st on EPDs for 21-day litter weight and 2nd on EPDs for backfat
• The maternal side pedigree of Ulf's New Standard is an outcross lineage for SGI.  The New Standard line is a blend of: Bulletproof x Break Thru x Stonewall x Point Given back on Full Dimension (Full Tank x All Points).  Both New Standard and Full Dimension were both formally quartered at Top Cut Genetics' stud.
• Ulf's New Standard is big on capacity and sound on feet.  There is no question that he is also long on usefullness.  He combines some of the best breeding at home and abroad to create a world of opportunity
