The Columbo line has also excelled in meat quality characteristics tracing to SGI's Ripper, HP Outcross and Spitfire. On the maternal side of Hoosier Red's lineage are genetic giants like Cornhusker 37-3, another line known for rapid growth and confinement adaptability. Also Altitude (509 Wally x NBD9 Express 4-1), who was a Premier's sire at several National Shows in 1993 and 1994, built structure and performance into Hoosier Red's prepotency.
