BOMBS AWAY comes from one of the very best Duroc females at Lettow Showpigs. BOMBS AWAY shares a similar pedigree to the Supreme Overall Gilt at OYE (raised by Mosteller Showpigs) in 2020. Mother of BOMBS AWAY is “Ms Mackey” and was a multiple-time champion show gilt for Weston Lackey in the Summer of ’17. “Ms Mackey’s” littermate barrow was the High Points Duroc on the ISJS Circuit the same Summer. “Ms Mackey” has raised multiple champions including the High Points Gilt ’19 ISJS Circuit, High Points Gilt ’20 Southwest Oklahoma Showpig Association and 3 sale barrows at San Antonio in 2020. Grandmother of BOMBS AWAY (Can’t Stop sow) was the High Points Duroc on the ’16 ISJS Circuit. The Can’t Stop sow recently generated the Champion Duroc Gilt at the ’20 Central District Show in Oklahoma. Lots of winning in this pedigree!
The playbook: We anticipate that BOMBS AWAY will generate slightly more attractive hogs than either BOMB SQUAD himself or JIM BROWN. BOMBS AWAY came from a litter that had unreal presence, elevation, muscle shape and athleticism. We think BOMBS AWAY will work the very best on moderate, bulky Duroc females that need improved show ring presence and muscle shape. BOMBS AWAY also possesses the build to be a breeding boar that can fix structural issues.
