Next up on the SGIBoars “HOW TO” series is BLOW.
A white exotic DIRTY SECRET sired boar that comes to us from our buddies at McKinley Showpigs in Texas. BLOW is a flat out stud. This hogs Bear x Super Monster mother looks the part of the front pasture cow. BLOW is super complete, dense in his skeleton, broad built and comfortable. This guy offers the intangibles that are often overlooked. He’s got big, strong front feet, unreal range of motion and great appetite. Mother of BLOW is grandmother of the barrow that McKinley’s raised that was Grand Overall a couple of weeks ago in one ring at the TJLA Belt Buckle Bonanza in Texas.
The playbook: We may need Matt or John McKinley to weigh-in on this one, as this guy is brand new to us. With that said, BLOW is a heavy duty boar that is much stouter in person than his picture would indicate. He’s a super complete hog that reads to have tremendous breeding versatility. We think he will stouten frailer built hogs, but has the build and balance to help correct burly ones that need their skeleton brought back in check. We think this guy is awful special, in fact the crew at Lettow Showpigs has already started to expose sows to him!
