• ZING was the $10,000 Champion Boar at the 1994 National Barrow Show.

• He is a heavy boned, wide-sprung, extremely sound boar that has tremendous muscle shape over the top, a huge rump and a very thick muscular ham. 
• Chuck Olsen kept a littermate boar, Ping, (147 day, 0.50 backfat, 6.94 LEA) and two littermate gilts.  Their sire, Mr. President, is an extremely impressive boar that also sired the Champion Gilt, the Reserve Champion and top selling boar as well as several other extremely popular pigs at the 1994 Fall Classic.  Mr. President’s latest EPDs based on the performance of his progeny are 0.8 Days, -0.11 backfat and 126.0 TSI.  Sufficient daughters are not yet old enough to obtain maternal EPDs; however, the first few to farrow are doing an excellent job. 
• ZING’s dam is by the immortal Ulf who has rewritten the maternal record book.  In seven parities she has averaged 9.9 born live (EPD 0.45) and 139.7 21-day litter weight (EPD 7.39) and 110.81 SPI.  Chuck Olsen also retained a littermate boar and four littermate gilts to ZING’s dam. 
• The maternal granddam in six parities averaged 11.3 born live (EPD 0.17), 9.8 weaned , 123.4 21-day litter weight (EPD 2.10) and 104.13 SPI. 
• Although we purchased ZING primarily to produce tough made, lean muscular and productive Yorkshire and white line females; don’t overlook this guy if you want to produce greyback show pigs.  He has the muscle shape, structure, style and balance to produce a winner.
