• We have been seeking a Chester White boar that excells in maternal characteristics to supply our many customers utilizing Chesters in production of female lines. 
• JAKE is from a herd that has for many years maintained and emphasized sow productivity records in the selection program for their totally confined herd.  His dam has a lifetime average of 12.25 born, 11.5 born alive, 10.25 weaned and 105.46 BVSPI.  The 35 females in his direct family have an average of 11.13 born, 10.22 born alive, 9.76 weaned and a BVSPI of 103.03. 
• In addition to the proven excellence in maternal traits, JAKE is a fast growing, lean boar as illustrated by the ratio of over 130 for both days and backfat(i.e. he was more than 30% better than the average of contemporary group in which he was tested). 
• He is also a bold fronted boar with a big shoulder and has the correct curvature to his rib cage to last on bare concrete or slats. 
• Ivey Farms are very confident he will be an asset to Chester breeders and commerical producers not only because of his superior phenotypic qualities but, more definitely because of the many generations of superior performance testing from which he is comprised.
