• He is bred to excel in leanness and TSI with Fjord on the top side and Stardust, North Star and Upbeat on the bottom side.  Fjord and his sons have dominated the top rankings in the Duroc Across-Herd Sire Summary for backfat EPDs.  North Star has consistently ranked high in EPDs for days and TSI while Upbeat has ranked 1^st in EPDs for days as well as ranking high EPDs for born alive, SPI and MLI.  Stardust has consistently sired tremendous muscle expression over the top and big, thick butts. 
• When you put all these together, it is no accident that Franz is a super lean topped boar with tremendous muscle expression and thickness both over the top and in the rump-ham region.
