• BELLRINGER is one tremendously heavy muscled Duroc boar.  He has a bold meaty shoulder, tremendous thickness and muscle expression down his top, a huge rump with a big dimple above the tail and an extremely thick bulging ham that is truly equal of any Pietrain cross.  I
• n addition to his tremendous muscle volume, BELLRINGER also excels in leanness.  When you study BELLRINGER’s pedigree, we are confident he will surely transmit extreme muscle and leanness.  His sire, Nathan, has three sons ranked in the top 12 for both backfat EPDS and Terminal Sire Index in the January 1995 Duroc Across Herd Sire Summary.  Nathan’s offspring have also consistently cut big loin eyes with a deep circular shape compared to the flat, shallow loin eyes of some Durocs. 
• BELLRINGER’s maternal grandsire, Real Time scanned an 8.94 sq in loin eye by “Real Time” and is one of the trait leaders for BF EPDs.  The Nathan-Real Time cross has been extremely heavy muscled at Rouse & Hodson’s and very popular with commercial, foreign and show pig buyers. 
• BELLRINGER’S DAM has consistently produced some of the fastest growing, leanest, most muscular pigs at Rouse & Hodson including the 1994 Iowa State Fair Champion boar.  When searching for a terminal sire it will be hard to find a boar of any breed or genetic line that combines the superior leanness (0.38 in BF & -0.05), muscle content (8.30 LEA) and growth (138 days to 230 lb & -3.2 EPD) of  BELLRINGER  in a sound functional package.
