• LUFF was the top indexing and top selling boar over all breeds in the February 19, 1993 Iowa Swine Testing Sale.  He combines tremendous performance with excellent phenotypic design and is backed by a truly outstanding performance pedigree. 
•  LUFF gained 0.4 lb faster than the station average for his contemporary group yet was the leanest boar with 0.31 inches less backfat than the station average.  He had the highest lean gain which was 0.27 lb above the station average. 
•  LUFF is bred to excel in performance and leanness.  Based on progeny performance LUFF’s sire, SGI 287 Lars, is the top ranking Yorkshire sire in three countries (United States, Sweden and Canada).  He is the top ranking Terminal Sire in the 1993 Yorkshire Crossherd Sire Summary with an index of 152.1 and is ranked fourth in EPDS for Backfat (-0.11) and third in EPDS for Days (-5.86). 
•  LUFF’s maternal great grandsire is the immortal Ulf who ranked first in SPI, Maternal Line Index and EPDS for Litter Weight; second in EPDS for Backfat and Born Live and third in Terminal Sire Index in the January 1993 Yorkshire Crossherd Sire Summary. 
•  The sire of LUFF’s dam, Ulf 1-3, is a big-framed boar that has consistently sired extra lean, sound and aggressive boars as well as very fertile and productive females. 
•  The maternal granddam of LUFF averaged 13.4 born live 9.8 weaned, 149 day farrowing interval and 104.7 SPI for 5 parities. 
•  LUFF is from a gilt litter of 7 born live, 9 weaned and 154 lb 21-day litter weight. 
•  LUFF is a big framed, long bodied, yet wide-sprung, heavy structured boar.  He is a long bodied boar with excellent muscle shape down his level, lean top and has a superb rump design and thickness with a well-defined dimple above his tail.  He has a full muscular ham that shows excellent muscle definition both from the rear and in the stifle region.
