• FAST AL's sire was the second top indexing boar (2.63 ADG, 0.80 BF, 5.44 LEA, 233 index) and a member of the record indexing Landrace pen at the Iowa Test Station.  His paternal grandsire was a top indexing boar at the Hermanstorp Station in Sweden. 
• FAST AL's dam is a full sister ot the record selling Iowa Test Station boar, Eleven Grand.  Their sire was the 1977 Landrace Hog College Boar and their dam was sired by a top indexing test station boar in 1976. 
• FAST AL has sired a number of superior performaing test station boars including the top indexing boar at the Ohio National Test that gained 2.72 lb per day with 0.69 BF, 5.60 LEA, 126 days to 230 lb, and a 181 index.  Equally impressive are the many sons and grandsons that have sired top performing pigs in central test stations and on-the-farm tests. 
• Some have said FAST AL is the Grandaddy of most of the top performing and wide made Landrace available today. 
• FAST AL is a powerful fronted, extrememly wide made, heavy boned, big footed boar that has stamped his offspirng with these traits. 
• FAST AL's daughters have averaged 12.8 farrowed,10.7 weaned, 148 lb 21-day litter weight in the CDF herd.  Daughters and granddaughters have been particularly good in longevity and ability to adapt to a variety of housing conditions.
