CC7 HERCULES 50-6 (NSR SIRE SAMPLING PROGRAM)

• Hercules and his equally powerful littermate Big Hogg 50-8 were the two fastest growing boars with the best EPDs for days at -4.3 and -5.2 in the comtemporary group.  Their days EPDs rank in top 2-4% of the breed
• Everett Forkner orginally kept both littermates as herd boars; however after being able to use Hercules for 10 months, he agreed to put him in the NSR Sire Sampling Program
• Hercules, as his name implies, is a tremendous stout structured boar with a big blade, well sprung rib cage, massive bone and excellent foot size
• Well balanced, tall fronted and level designed, he is also very sound structurally and strides out freely with great angulation and flexibility both front and rear
• Hercules is an outcross to most current Durocs
• His paternal grandsire, Basic 109-5, and his half brother, Basic 14-9, were super stout and impressive individuals that served at Forkners with distinction for four years
• The Hercules line of the bottom side is total outcross to most Durocs.  From Henry Fudge this line has really excelled in growth
• Hercules 6-1, the maternal great grandsire of Hercules 50-6, had an EPD of -5.4 for days which ranked 1st in the breed for young sires 
• The Forkner herd has been a leader in selection and breeding for meat quality and Hercules has the benefit of this concentrated effort built in for several generations
• Hercules is the epitome of what Durocs have been known for combining superior growth, a very stout-tough design with documented meat quality attributes
