• As his name implies, Extreme offers a unique breeding package that is extreme in the following areas:
  Leanness with a 10th rib Real Time BF of 0.27 and a percent lean of 60.0%
• Muscle expression over his top, out through his rump and down through his ham, frame size and length of bodym extension of front and length of neck
• 
  Extreme also has an excellent underline.  His dam has averaged 11.3 born live and 121 lb 21-day litter weight for four parities in spite of one small litter weaned.  His maternal granddam average 14.0 born live, 10.2 weaned and an outstanding 166.7 lb 21-day litter weight for three parities while his paternal granddam averaged 12.0 born, 9.9 weaned and 142.3 lb 21-day litter weight for 10 parities. 
• Extreme’s sire, CR Ives 214-2, also excellent in percent lean with 0.49 BF and 144 days to 230. 
• Two littermates to Extreme’s paternal grandmother were Champion and Reserve Champion Carcasses at an area show with 60.98 and 60.25 percent lean.  The sire of Extreme’s dam, JBL9 Sampson 14-9, consistently contributed bone, foot size, length and levelness of top to the Cedar Ridge Herd. 
• We certainly feel that leanness and muscle are important attributes in the Landrace breed.  However, as a maternal line, sow productivity is still of utmost importance. 
• Extreme puts together a complete package of superior maternal and carcass traits.
