  • Rifleman was the Champion and top selling boar while his littermate was the Reserve Champion and second top selling boar at the 2001 Iowa State Fair.  These two boars simply outclassed the field in terms of overall trimness and muscle expression; yet both were correctly designed and sound, free moving boars.
  • Rifleman is very trim fronted and extremely lean (0.26 BF) down his very expressive top.  A bit longer and leveler in his rump than his littermate; Rifleman and his littermate both had phenomenal thickness and shape to their ham.
  • Rifleman is also a big-framed boar that is long fronted and extra long bodied.  He is level made and well balanced with that extra class and style it takes to win.  There were five outstanding gilts in this litter retained by Donnie Rife.
  • Rifleman is bred to excel in leanness and muscle.  The two very influential meat sires, Buta and Fjord, are on both the top and bottom side of Rifleman’s pedigree combined with the influence of the very muscular Spitting Image – Spitfire line.
  • In conclusion, Rifleman is certainly one of the leanest, most impressively muscled Duroc boars we have seen during 2001.  In comparison to most of the other Durocs that are extreme in their muscle mass, Rifleman has more extension of frame and length of body.
