• Red Ryder is a problem-free sire suited to a wide range of applications.  He has merit that revolves around the economic needs of progressive pork production.  He is a big scaled, heavy duty Duroc boar that is extremely functional.  His heaviness of structure and durability is especially evident by his extra bone and astonishing foot and toe size. 
• Red Ryder is long-sided and super level over his top.  Underline quality is extremely good, teats are properly spaced and the sheath is tight and clean.  His extra length of leg, flexibility of posture and superior structural correctness combine to allow him the opportunity of moving freely in a big, long-framed package.  He is up headed, athletic and aggressive.  The Jackson herd is renowned for it’s consistency in producing litters of big, thrifty Durocs that grow and produce. 
• Red Ryder’s littermates were outstanding especially the females.  It is rare to find such depth of this quality in a litter of pigs of any breed. 
• Red Ryder has a strong history of sow productivity behind him.  He comes from a litter of 12 and his dam has averaged 10.5 born alive, 10 weaned and 131.6 pound 21-day weights after six parities.  Her SPI is 117.90 and she is a product of the GJ1 MS Fastrack breeding that excels in litter weight and born alive EPD’s. 
• Two other top ranking Durocs for Maternal Line Index, Nathan and Sambo, appear in Red Ryder’s pedigree.  His strong maternal ancestry, coupled with Red Ryder’s superior phenotypic design and performance, indicate the obvious potential Red Ryder has to generate excellent replacement females.  His daughters can be expected to be large framed and produce larger litters with a high lean content and superior feed conversion.
