• SPEEDWAY is the all-time record indexing boar and a member of the all-time record indexing pen over all breeds at the Michigan Test Station.  His two littermates had the following performance:  2.42 and 2.44 ADG, .50 and 0.50 BF, 6.25 and 6.97 LEA and 158.0 and 159.4 Indexes. 
• SPEEDWAY’s sire is a linebred Express who was one of the most popular and productive boars to ever stand at SGI in terms of consistently producing fast growing, lean Durocs.  Express consistently ranked near the top for combined EPDS for ADG and BF among test Station Sires.  In the first Duroc Crossherd Sire Summary, numerous Express descendants ranked high in all the ranked traits of EPDS for Days, Backfat, Number Born Live and Weaning Weight as well as in SPI, Maternal Line Index and Terminal Sire Index. 
• SPEEDWAY’s dam is sired by Unlimited, the Reserve Champion top selling boar at the 1991 Southwest Conference.  A very lean muscular boar, he featured performance of 152 days, 0.68 BF, 6.68 LEA.  Unlimited was sired by another very popular and productive SGI sire, Ultimate.  Ultimate, as well as his descendant, consistently show up among the trait leaders. 
• SPEEDWAY’s dam has averaged 10.5 born live and 9 weaned in her first 2 litters.  His maternal granddam has a 102.34 SPI. 
• SPEEDWAY is a big framed, long bodied boar that is extra lean down his shapely, very expressive top.  He had a real time scan of only 0.67 backfat at 330 lbs.  A bold, meaty shouldered and thick butted boar, SPEEDWAY  has the combined frame, freedom from fat and muscle necessary to sire offspring that can produce a high percentage of lean, even to heavy weights.  A sound, functional boar, he certainly has ample bone and ruggedness to adapt to any environment.
