Lief is one big, powerful Landrace boar.
-
He is extra long-bodied, long rumped and level designed. A thick shouldered, wide sprung boar; Lief has big blades that are well pulled apart at the top of the shoulders.
-
Lief has good muscle shape down his top, a long square rump and a deep thick ham. One of the heaviest structured, biggest footed Landrace we have seen in Sweden, Lief has very good bone and is super sound.
-
Lief has an excellent underline and large testicles.
-
His five littermate gilts were also big, fast growing, rugged females with a very good muscling; yet super sound, long necked and maternal in appearance.
-
Lief’s sire required 149 days to 250 lb with 0.47 inch backfat and 124 index while Lief’s dam averaged 14.4 born live, 10.5 weaned with a 150-day farrowing interval for eight parities. His maternal and paternal granddams have averaged 11.8 and 10.0 born live, 9.8 and 9.4 weaned and 152-day and 160-day farrowing intervals for five parities, respectively.

Acclaimed by most that have visited SGI to be the best ever Landrace import; we are really excited about the breeding potential of Lief.
