SASQUATCH was the Champion and Top Selling Spotted Boar at the 1988 National Barrow Show. He is a real "monster" of a boar! He is an extra wide made boar that is wide in his chest floor, has excellent spring of rib, and walks wide behind. He is stout made with a masculine head, bold shoulder, massive bone, and big feet. SASQUATCH is also excellent in his top structure, both in terms of muscle shape and levelness of design. He is very flexible in his spine and long, level, and thick in his rump with a high tail setting. He has maintained his natural body width and the excellent muscular shape to his top after being on limited feed for three months since Austin. SASQUATCH combines some of the best performance tested and show winning pedigrees in the Spotted breed. He is a grandson of Bigfoot (SGI 711), a top test station graduate and a double-bred NB&S Champ, the 1984 National Barrow Show Champion. SASQUATCH’s maternal granddam is a littermate to Butch and Stub and sired by the great breeding boar, Timber, Butch was the 1987 Missouri State Fair Premier Sire and sired the Champion Spotted Barrow at Houston in 1988. Stub was Premier Sire at the 1988 World Pork Expo and 1988 National Barrow Show, and sired the 1988 Oklahoma City Reserve Spotted Barrow. SASQUATCH’s dam is sired by RCP Sprout 43-1 who is the product of the littermate mating of JSF Sprout, the sire of the 1987 Southeast Champion Boar, and JSF Sara, the dam of the $5600 Southwest Conference top selling boar and Champion Gilt. Also, represented on the maternal side are Buttermilk and College King who have sired several top test station individuals and show winners. SASQUATCH has been the most popular Spotted boar ever to come to SGI.
