Big N Lean, as his name implies, is a big framed, thick made boar that really excels in leanness. He has a big, bold yet trim shoulder and is clean along his loin edge with a very true, muscular shape to his top. He has a long, thick rump and a very thick muscular ham. Big N Lean is a sound, long bodied boar that stands on good bone. He has a very good underline and large testicles.

Big N Lean’s paternal and maternal granddams were littermates with lifetime averages of 9.3 and 9.7 pigs weaned, respectively. He is out of a gilt litter of 7 farrowed, 7 weaned. We are confident that Big N Lean can consistently sire fast growing, functional Chesters, productive crossbred replacement females, or top quality show barrows that will be extra lean and muscular.

The results are now in and as expected Big N Lean grew into one big powerful mature boar. Even more importantly, he has consistently stamped his offspring in the same mold. He sired the Grand Champion Barrow Overall at the 1990 Hill District Show, Kerrville, Texas. This purebred Chester had only 0.60 in carcass backfat and an 8.3 sq in loin eye.
